In observance of INDEPENDENCE DAY, there will be NO OPEN PLAY on FRIDAY, JULY 3rd for the Recreation Level (Agnes Scott) and the Intermediate/Advanced Level (Druid Hills).

HVA GIVES BACK TO THE COMMUNITY
HVA has announced the 2009 charities that we will be supporting:  Youth Pride and Chris' Kids Rainbow House.  HVA made a donation to Youth Pride and gave gift cards for Chris' Kids. Please helps us support these 2 organization. More information can be found on our PARTNER page.

2009 ATLANTA PRIDE:
DATES: October 31 and November 1
LOCATION: Piedmont Park
Friday, October 30, 2009 kicks off the 2009 Atlanta PRIDE weekend. The Piedmont Park Festival grounds are open on Saturday and Sunday, and will host the Pride Stages, Marketplace, and a variety of programming. HVA has reserved a private booth and is soliciting volunteers to help promote HVA and participate in the parade. If you are interested in participating in any capacity, please contact Mark. Please also continue to support the weekly raffles as a portion of the money raised goes to support HVA Pride efforts.

PRIDE RAFFLE:
Please remember to bring $1 or more for our weekly raffle to raise money for next year's PRIDE activities. PRIDE is one of our largest recruitment activities of the year. The goal of the weekly raffle is to increase our presence this coming year by having our own booth and possibly our own float. Tickets are one dollar and you can buy as many of them as you want each evening. At the end of each night of play a winning ticket will be drawn and that person will win a portion of the money collected. Thanks for your support.

HOTLANTA CLASSIC XVIII
Traditionally, HVA has hosted the annual Hotlanta Classic volleyball tournament in July. Next year, the tournament is being moved to February 2010 with the goal of attracting even more NAGVA teams to our tournament. The tournament committee is hard at work on the details.
